The first table read of Next to Normal was something truly magnificent to behold.
For the very first time, the actors were all in the same room together – and in front of their director, Matthew McCray and the Next to Normal Executive and Associate Producers. They opened their scripts and from behind a table, they read (and sang!) Next to Normal in its entirety.
Of course, when it ended everyone was passing each other a roll of toilet paper… for their tears, of course… because wow. What a show!
