On Sunday, November 2, resident artist Kelly Todd won the Ovation Award for Best Musical for her work on Lysistrata Jones! Kelly’s work had previously been recognized with Ovation Award nominations for HAIR, Jerry Springer: The Opera and Triassic Parq – The Musical. Many members of the Lysistrata cast and production team were on-hand for the ceremony and erupted into cheers during her acceptance speech. We emphatically and excitedly congratulate Kelly on her Ovation Award! We are so proud of her and so happy that her talent (and the work of the high-energy cast that performed the choreography) was recognized.
We would also like to congratulate all the other winners on Sunday night! It was a wonderful event hosted by LA Stage Alliance that celebrated theater throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area.
