These positions are great opportunities for stay at home parents, artists, retirees, or others who would benefit from a flexible schedule.

At this time, we are hiring for the following positions:

  • Front of House Associate
    • Part-time position
    • Provides courteous and professional customer service
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Answers questions, via phone, email, and face to face interaction, concerning reservations, subscriptions, events, tickets, schedules and gives information concerning upcoming attractions
    • Schedules, trains, and supervises ushers, who take tickets and lead patrons to their seats.
    • Ensures the preparation of programs and verifies that the house, lobby, and seating area are clean and presentable for the audience.
    • Ensures that signs or notices relevant to particular shows are appropriately posted.
    • Responsible for the safety of the audience, in case of an emergency, like a fire or tornado, and should know what steps to take to either evacuate the audience members, or secure them in place.
    • The house manager oversees the box office manager to resolve issues, coordinate ticketing services, and provide assistance as needed.
    • Understands pertinent procedures and functions quickly and applies them without immediate supervision
    • Availability evenings and weekends
    • Compensation: $16.00/hour
  • Box Office Associate
    • Part-time position with up to 20 hours per week
    • Provides courteous and professional customer service
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Answers questions, via phone and email, concerning reservations, subscriptions, events, tickets, schedules and gives information concerning upcoming attractions
    • Maintains and modifies records and filing systems on ArtsPeople regarding patrons and productions
    • Understands pertinent procedures and functions quickly and applies them without immediate supervision
    • Availability from 11am to 3pm required
    • Compensation: $16.00/hour
  • Carpentry, Load-In, Lighting, Audio, Scenic Painting Over-hire
    • Support all theatrical departments, including sound, lighting, video and carpentry
    • Assist in cleaning and maintaining all equipment
    • Provide technical support & set up for theatrical productions and special events
    • May assist with inventory, scheduling, and maintaining inventory of theater equipment, and supplies
    • Work in the construction, load-in, operation, and striking of all productions
    • Scenic and properties construction and painting
    • Load in of stage lighting, sound, and video production
    • Compensation: $16.00/hour (Additional compensation DOE for Audio Engineers)

We are able to offer small stipends for the following positions:

  • Assistant Sound Technician (A2)
  • Assistant Stage Managers / Crew
    • Seeking energetic and knowledgeable ASM’s. Duties would include working alongside SM during rehearsal and tech, and running the deck during performances.

Support our directors & designers by volunteering as an assistant.

Gain valuable on the job experience assisting talented local artists. Volunteering to assist a director or designer gives you an opportunity to learn firsthand an individual director’s or designer’s process and the production process as a whole. As an assistant to the Director you’ll attend many if not all of the rehearsals.  Rehearsals typically go for 4-6 weeks, 4-7 days a week, depending on the show and the Director. Specific duties and tasks will be decided based on the abilities of the assistant and the needs of the show. Please indicate which department you would like to assist (Direction, Scenic, Costume, Lighting, or Sound).
