Karli Jean Lonnquist is a dramaturg and playwright studying Theatre and Peace Studies at Chapman University. Her dramaturgy credits include Storm in the Barn (Chapman University). Selected playwriting credits include lemongrass, honey, whiskey. (full production – The Young Professionals Company), Archer, Archer (world premiere – Jesuit High School Portland, full production – Cross the Line at Chapman University), Gloaming (staged reading – The Young Playwright’s Festival at Lakewood Theatre Company, world premiere – Cross the Line at CU, full production – Real Toads Theatre Company), if all the baths ran red… (world premiere – Cross the Line at CU), and Hunter / Hunted (finalist – ENOUGH! Plays to End Gun Violence 2023 competition). Karli founded and currently serves as the executive producer for Chapman Student Playwrights, Chapman University’s only collegiate theatre company exclusively focused on new work development.
